The main purposes of Export promotion and information department:
• to improve Lithuanian agricultural and food products sales balance • to promote Lithuanian integration in to the world market • to promote Lithuanian agricultural and food products export • to form export strategy of Lithuanian agricultural and food products • to create good quality image of Lithuanian agricultural and food products • to seek and to study new markets for realization of agricultural and food products • to promote the consumption of Lithuanian agricultural and food products in domestic and foreign markets • to popularize national heritage products • to promote the production of agricultural and food products of exclusive quality, to popularize the sign of agricultural and food products of exclusive quality, to process and propagate the information about agricultural and food products of exclusive quality.
The main activities of Export promotion and information department:
• to organize Lithuanian exporters participation in international exhibitions, fairs and missions • to present Lithuanian agricultural and food industry at the international exhibitions, fairs and trade missions • to consult Lithuanian food producers about participation in international exhibitions, fairs and trade missions • to gather and spread information to Lithuanian companies about worldwide agricultural and food industry exhibitions • to organize meetings with the potential importers of Lithuanian agricultural and food products • to create a positive image of Lithuanian agricultural and food products • to administrate a data base of records of the interested in Lithuanian agricultural and food products • to give an information to the interested about the Lithuanian food producers and their products • to organize preparation and publication of Lithuanian food exporters catalogue • to organize seminars on purpose to raise Lithuanian companies‘ employees competence in export promotion • to cooperate with Lithuanian and other state‘s associations, Embassies, consular departments and other organizations, that activity is the export promotion • to administer and to develop the web sites „Virtual fair“, „Trade conditions“ and „Food quality“, to gather the information and to publish it in these web sites • to mould an attractive image of national heritage products in Lithuania and overseas • to administrate the web site of products of exclusive quality, to organize the seminars about exclusive quality products, to propagate the information about exclusive quality products and to perform other functions concerned with exclusive quality products.
